POWERBOAT COMMITTEE MESSAGE

by Barry Sim

Thank you to all members who supported the introduction of the POWER BOAT DIVISION of the N.C.Y.C and on behalf of the newly formed steering committee we welcome all powerboat owners and associated members to this new division.
You should have received letters and information in the past two news letters outlining the progress of the P.B.D (power boat division) and your newly elected steering committee.
To further develop and promote the new division we will utilise the new webpage at www.ncyc.net.au, as well as the current club newsletters with the aim of:
Encouraging all existing members with power boats to participate and be apart of this division.
Invite existing powerboat owners to join the N.C.Y.C Power Boat Division.
Keeping members informed of upcoming events both social and competitive.
The web page will be updated on a monthly basis and we hope to also include any articles, photos, news etc , we can gather not just from your committee, but you, our members.

Powerboat Fishing Association will be starting soon with monthly weigh ins for yearly point scores and trophies.

If you have any great ideas and or things that you think will make this page work better for you, please email Paul at paul@ncyc.net.au

SO COME ON ALL YOU POWER BOAT OWNERS, SUPPORT US IN MAKING THIS NEW DIVISION WORK. LETS HEAR YOUR SUGGESTIONS, IDEAS, NEWS, JOKES ETC. LETS NOT BE LEFT BEHIND WHEN THE YACHTIES SAIL.
LET’S GET OUT THERE, PASS THEM AND HAVE SOME FUN
.

    BJ's Safer Boating Tip

How many of you leave your sea valves open when you’re not using your boat?
Did you know that there have been many instances where hoses, coolers , filters or fittings associated with the salt water system have failed while the vessel is unattended causing flooding and in some cases sinking from these valves being left open.
It is therefore a good idea that for the above reasons they should be shut especially when your vessel is not used for some time. This also works the valves to ensure they operate and remain free of any growth so when you do eventually need to shut them (especially in a hurry) you won’t find it seized and/or break the spindle.
