NCYC currently has yachts competing in two of the Southern Hemisphere’s great ocean races – the Melbourne Osaka Yacht Race and the Gosford Lord Howe Island Yacht Race.
Funnelweb – 2014 Melbourne Osaka Yacht Race
NCYC Hick 50 Funnelweb owned and skippered by Ivan Macfadyen with crew member Will Parbury are currently nearing the Solomon Island en route to Osaka. Battling light conditions and equatorial thunderstorms as well as a broken self steering system the guys are working hard at chipping away the miles.
