Movember 2011

 NCYC has fielded a seven man team in the Movember campaign this year.  Under the captaincy of our CEO Richard Howard, are other staff members  Andrew Hall, Craig Sanders,  Michael Smyth Sheldon Black and Tony Laufer. and Club Captain  Ernie Thirkell.

If you would like to donate funds to this great cause, why not do so by supporting the Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club team.

2011 October issue, thirty two fifty five

The serious side of our season has finally arrived with the Spring Series commencement in September. All sailors are looking forward to a busy season with some innovations planned by the Sailing Committee. The season commenced in the traditional way with Founders Day on the first weekend in September. It is reported in detail in this newsletter and was a great success.

What’s on at NCYC

Check out the new NCYC Updates button on the top right side of the screen above the ”Race Entry” button.

To make it even easier to check out what is happening in your club, the  ”Coming Events” page has been replaced by this new button, centraliseing information which to date required going to a number of different pages to find.  Notices relating to items such as those below, as well as details of Racing, Social and Fundraising events will all be available through the NCYC Updates  button.

2011- 2012 Sailing Handbook Launch

An invitation is extended to skippers and crew to attend this event on Monday 29 August 2011, to be held in the NCYC Marquee at 6pm.

The NCYC Sailing Committee will present to you its Sailing Program for the 2011 – 2012 Sailing Season including its inaugural Cat 3 “The Lion the Cabbage and the Bird Series”.
