Offshore Races
Auto Advantage Newcastle Port Stephens Race – 14 April 2013
A lead in race to Sail Port Stephens. This is an annual short offshore race held in April each year.
The Auto Advantage Newcastle Port Stephens Race is a feeder race to the Sail Port Stephens Regatta. Last year the race attracted approximately 30 entries from Sydney, Lake Macquarie & Newcastle. This year a few changes have been made to the format including the ability to conduct a rolling start whereby if wind conditions require it the Race Committee will instruct the fleet to commence motoring towards Port Stephens until such time as the Race Committee deems there to be enough wind to start the race. At that time an offshore start line will be set and the race started.

The Lion, Bird & Cabbage Offshore Series
The Lion, Bird & Cabbage Series comprises two day/night races off the NSW coastline around farmiliar islands starting and finishing in Newcastle Harbour.
NCYC welcomes competitors from all yachts clubs with eligible yachts to compete in this series.

Amendment to NOR & Sailing Instructions – Race 2
An amendment has been made to convert Race 2 of the Lion Bird & Cabbage Series from a Category 2 (safety) Race to a Category 3 (safety) Race with the addition of PLBs.
