Newcastle – the world’s largest coal export port and home to the sailing fraternity that is Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club, armed with a highly experienced team of race management personnel and a generous pool of volunteers – aims to create a true ‘Regatta City’ environment from the moment you walk through the door.
Starting with all the yachts lined up at the front door of the Clubhouse, our staff will be ready to take your order from 7.30am through to closing time. We can accommodate pre-arranged lunch orders which include a healthy wrap, piece of fruit and bottle of water for each crew on board.
You hit the water and approach the start line where you will find our Team has been on station for almost an hour monitoring the current wind conditions to ensure we get the first race away on time – an essential requirement of any event. We go the ‘extra nautical mile’ to ensure that our team have all the necessary tools and skills to get racing away on time, and to quickly deliver back-to-back races.
At the end of the day, you will find our helpful volunteers on the dock expecting your arrival to assist with docklines and to retrieve the NCYC cooler bag so that we can re-pack your crew lunches in the morning. We really do like to roll out the red carpet for our guests!
We can also help your class/association to hire a media professional to meet your class/association needs. Whether it be one of our volunteers buzzing around with an iPhone, or a paid professional bringing a fleet of drones and submarines, we’ve got you covered!
