Sydney Vivid Cruise

Cruise Dates –
Friday, 5 June to Sunday, 7 June 2026

Join us for a weekend adventure to see vivid by sea.

Departing on Friday 5th June 2026, we’ll pass by the opera house and harbour bridge right on sunset as we make our way to Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron for dinner. On Saturday, we’ll spend the day exploring the harbour before we leave the boats at Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron and catch the ferry across to Circular Quay to explore the lights of vivid on foot.

Then we’ll return to Newcastle on Sunday, refreshed and full of great memories. Whether you’re an experienced cruiser or looking for your first adventure accompanied by a group, we’d love you to cruise to Sydney with us and enjoy the camaraderie and wonder of the vivid lights.

Itinierary –

Thursday, 4th June 2026 –

Cruise Briefing at NCYC. Time to be confirmed by nominated Cruise Captain.

Friday, 5th June 2026 –

Depart Newcastle and cruise to Sydney. Rendezvous at Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron.
Be sure to keep the camera ready as we pass the opera house and the harbour bridge on the way into the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron.

Saturday, 6th June 2026 –

Explore. This is a chance sail the harbour or find an anchorage for lunch.
Be back at Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron in time to join us on the ferry to Circular Quay to see the vivid lights on foot.

Sunday, 18th January 2026 –

Return home
Depart Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron early to make our way home.
ETA Newcastle by 6:00pm

Safety –
Sailing Vessels are required to meet NCYC Category 7 Plus
Powerboat Vessels are required to meet NCYC powerboat safety checklist

Additional Notes –

All boats required to be registered and must meet equipment audit compliance.
A ‘Cruise Captain’ will be nominated for each event to conduct radio sheds on club frequency VHF Ch 77.
